Sheera Recipe

Sweetened Whole Wheat Flour Porridge, Sprinkled With Coconut

In a saucepan over medium heat, mix into a paste:
1 cup Indian whole wheat flour, or whole wheat pastry flour
1/2 cup + 2 TBS unsalted butter
Sauté until slightly browned
Add and stir well:
1 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cardamom powder
Cover the pan and turn off the heat.
Serve sprinkled with:
unsweetened, shredded coconut
Eat with a spoon
